What Is the Woodward Lake Community?
Woodward Lake is a master-planned residential community in northeast Fresno. The Woodward Lake Master Association says the development began in July 1985 and now covers 440 acres with 1,158 single-family homes. Its defining feature is a 54-acre private lake at the center of the neighborhood.
You may see the area called both “Woodward Lake” and “Woodward Lakes.” The association uses Woodward Lake, while real estate searches and local conversation often use the plural. Both generally refer to the same master-planned community, but every listing should still be checked by address and legal description.
Woodward Lake is not the same place as the nearby City of Fresno-operated Woodward Park. The private community lake and association amenities are governed separately from the public regional park.
